Holiday Inn Roswell

Made the mistake of not reading about the hotel. I chose Holiday Inn because I like their breakfast. I should have known when it had a restaurant on site that it would not offer a free breakfast. Otherwise the location, rooms, price and facility were fine.

Do not stay at this hotel if you want to be treated like a kind, paid customer. While the employees of this hotel were all very friendly and extremely accommodating to my travel companion in a wheelchair, the general manager of this hotel- Consuela- was as rude, unkind, and unaccommodating as could be. She barged into a room where a man was in a wheelchair and undressed, demanding he leave immediately because he was in the room 17 minutes past check out. She kept telling me she was going to call the police- which would have been a hilarious phone call- what could she say, “A man in a wheelchair is having a hard time checking out on time!” My companion had a fall this morning which required three hotel workers to assist in helping him back to the chair, which they kindly did. Perhaps this general manager, Consuela, could have been a little bit more empathetic given the situation as opposed to threatening to charge me for an extra night, which she still might do given that she told me I was horrible at my job being an assistant to my companion. I do not write reviews unless someone truly deserves one. This woman deserves to experience the consequences of making a handicapped person feel helpless and undermined. (She wrote a response to this review in the comment section and said this was not true. But it is true. She barged into a room 17 minutes after check out after a wheelchair-bound man told her not to enter as he was not dressed and she did it anyway.) Holiday Inn corporate has already been notified of this matter.
