Great place! ALL Staff, including cleaning ladies and grounds keepers are EXCELLENT! My Sweetheart and I have stayed here several times with nothing but good things to say and GREAT interactions with all the staff, AND guests! CLEAN ROOMS, SUPPORTIVE, KIND STAFF and POLICE do regular drive bys! Safe, clean, not too far to local fast food, gas station etc. HomeTown Suites/ Red Roof on Opdyke is your home away from home!

I'm reading through these reviews and starting to think a lot of you guys are mixing up the motels when you leave your review. There are TWO "Auburn hills" red roof inns, if not more, and I've been to both. The one on Crooks is horrifying. And the one here on Opdyke is great and quiet. No fights, drug deals, bugs or rats, and it's constantly patrolled by the Auburn Hills Police Department. It's a nice area, I've unfortunately been stuck here a long time and have 0 issues. Any of the reviews that mention someone by name that isn't the manager Tim, or workers Star, Sarah, Nick, or the older gentleman at night(didn't catch his name), it's not for this specific motel. So make sure when you leave your bad reviews that they're for the right place, because a lot of these seem incomprehensible. You can't be super picky with a motel, especially one that's close to Detroit. The cheaper something is, the harder it is to find a place without bugs. But this place is clean! They did just do a ton of work on the rooms, and there's drywall dust in the grooves of the new floors. I did notice that a normal mop doesn't clean it up, and it needed to be scrubbed. So if you get a newer room that has residue on the floors, it's probably that. DON'T BRING ANY BUGS HERE. please lord keep it clean. And PICK UP YOUR DOG POOP!!!! There's a poop station but lord, these people won't pick up their dog's mess at all! Think they need to add signs or have some form of consequences for leaving feces where you can step in them. There's an empty lot behind the motel where you can let your dog poop it's heart out. Not over here please 🙏🏼. Unfortunately this place is cheap enough to where a few shitty people can really ruin the vibes, but if you come with normal expectations then I think they knock it outta the park. It's a clean place to lay your head, simple as that 😌

This hotel is wrong and they will pay for how they treated me and my daughter I’m currently going through things so I have been stayed about 28 days and Hometown room 340 and switched to a different room 147 after I was not able to afford the amount for the other room because my purse was missing I made a payment for the night stayed in the room a extra night I got my mom to make payment for me for two more nights once my purse was found I made another payment so Saturday I was suppose to make another payment I informed the lady at the desk I needed more time could I have more time she said yes of course she was very kind and sweet very helpful the other guy was very kind very helpful as well when my purse was missing he helped me out and was patient with me the older black guy started calling my room around 11:40 pm I tried to answer the phone came apart I had to plug it back in I start hearing banging at my hotel door around MIDNIGHT which I found VERY inappropriate a grown man is banging on my door at MIDNIGHT and it’s only me and my 5 year old inside the room so I asked him to stop knocking and I will be down there got dressed and went to ask him what was going on ? He proceeded to talk to me aggressively asking for a payment I said that’s fine I under You have a job to do but it’s inappropriate hours you could have just came during the evening if that was the case NICK the manager was not there at the moment so I ask him could we just take care of it the next morning ? He said yes went back to my room the next morning I get dressed go down to speak to someone the black older guy was still in the lobby I told him call who you need to call I just don’t want me and my daughter to be on the streets and another guy said we had to wait for NICK ( The Manager ). I said okay so I went back to the room was able to get someone I know to send me $300 to extend the stay I go up to the desk to make a payment they say the Apple Pay (Tap Pay) has been having issues could I use a physical card so I transferred my money to the bank n was told I have to wait 1-3 business days so at this point the money isn’t posted yet I can’t make a payment they ask can I have someone send it again I said no I already had to have Apple cancel the payment once I can’t do it again they get upset and say we have to leave and checkout so they contact Oakland sheriffs the manager lies and tell the officer I only stayed a few days and I was there over a month he gets upset and says I’m banned for returning because all because he lied and told the officers I never stayed in a room 340 when I can prove it he knew he would have had to legally evict me I stayed over the time I was suppose to and they wrong and they know it instead of being understanding and more empathetic he chose to lie and ban me I will be reporting this HOTEL they will pay for how they treated me and my child !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made sure I recorded my whole experience I will not let this go until actions are taken
