The room we slept in had bed bugs and they said they can’t refund us but switched us to another room with more bed bugs!

I stayed here for one night, with my 9yo son, who i haven't seen in over 2 months. We check in, things seem okay, we go out to eat, notice a 3 cop cars in the parking lot. No big deal. We come back 2 hours later, and then there were 9 cop cars in the parking lot. We look up, and literally the room ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WALL (room 230 for us, 228 for fugitive), they are trying to get a fugitive to surrender.....they break the window, escort the fugitive out and after 30 more minutes. Mind you it is now about 10:15pm, my son and I can enter our room...walking around broken glass....not the end of the world, they got the guy the needed to....but my son did NOT feel safe, REASONABLY SO. We try to relax for a couple minutes, then we see two bugs run across the floor....have pics, looked it up, "dusty roach" is what it identified as...we move rooms.... 212 is the room we get.... same room, different number. Didn't notice any bugs....but the deadbolt on the door doesnt line up properly, so guess what....we had NO deadbolt on the lock in our room. I MAYBE slept 4 hours, my 9 year old son...maybe 6 hours.....im furious beyond belief...this is absolutely unacceptable. Disgusting. Hospitality was okay, gal seemd dismissive, did move us rooms, but overall, everyone here seemed VERY dismissive....like "oh this happens all the time, get over it" kind of feeling

Although in the past this motto might have had its problems but sees how there's a new manager running it and there has been a lot of changes made. I would recommend this to my friends and family as it's more like a family setting. And plus the manager that's in charge now has did a lot of changes and it's making it a better place and safer place for everybody kids and all. I would like to say thank you to the staff for being kind and patient and freshly to my granddaughter and the people there alone makes it more of like family like we're all together in a sense
