Hop Inn Hotel Alabang Manila

This hotel has always been my go-to place because of its affordable rates and convenient location near my workplace. In the past, the staff were always friendly, kind, and welcoming — which made my stays enjoyable. However, ever since the staff changed, the level of service has noticeably declined. I’ve stayed here twice this month, and unfortunately, I experienced issues both times. Today’s stay was particularly disappointing. As a Gold Member, I’ve never had problems with early check-in before, but today I was made to wait two hours. I arrived at 11 AM while many guests were checking out, and I wasn’t checked in until 1 PM — and only after I complained to the manager. It felt like the process would have taken even longer if I hadn’t spoken up. While Zeejay was polite and smiling, he was not truthful about the status of my check-in — he said he was following up but clearly wasn’t. Mark assisted me later, though he seemed uninterested and didn’t smile. Carla, who was introduced as the supervisor, also needs to improve her customer service and leadership skills. Instead of listening to my concerns, she became defensive and didn’t even offer an apology. It shouldn’t take two hours to prepare one of their small rooms, and when I finally got in, the floor was still wet — I almost slipped. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but today’s experience was genuinely disappointing. I really hope management addresses these issues so the hotel can return to the high standards it used to have.
