HOSTAL BONA VISTA

Centrally located hotel just two minutes from the sea, with excellent service, daily housekeeping, wonderful breakfast catering, and super comfortable beds. I would definitely come back here again and again. What a treat.

We had a late check-in at 11 p.m. When we arrived at the hotel, there was a sign indicating that check-in was taking place at a different hotel. This wasn't a problem for us, so we went there. We told the receptionist that we wanted to check in at that hotel. The receptionist then said she had already checked in all the guests and our names weren't on the list. She then took our passports. When guests who spoke Spanish arrived, she immediately switched to them, simply put our passports down, and turned to them. We found that quite unprofessional—they could have at least apologized. After we finally found our names on the list ourselves, she stared at us puzzledly for about 10 minutes. Again, it would have been better to give an explanation. If there are problems at the hotel, they should say so and ask for our patience, instead of just standing there and saying nothing. After that, she filled out a lot of forms and finally gave us the keys.

Well, I usually never write reviews since I always pay the most expensive hotels and I never expect anything incredible, but I think it's necessary here. First of all, if you want to sleep, it's not possible here. The rooms are not soundproof at all, so between hearing the neighbors talking as if they were in the same room as us, and the shuttles passing by on our street until late, you'll honestly wake up every two hours, and it's impossible to sleep until 9:00 a.m. because the noise gets worse around 7:30 a.m. It's like sleeping under the stars on a street where cars/shuttles pass very often, which really keeps you awake. Moreover, we had a water outage. It was impossible to wash, and finding a solution was even worse. We went to see the reception which I should point out is located 50m from Hostal Bona Vista because there is no reception at all in this hotel, I literally saw no staff, but anyway, I went there to inform them that there was no water, after waiting 10 minutes because there was no staff, the man at the reception did not speak a word of English and only answered me "German" without even trying to communicate. Luckily there were 5 other guests who spoke German and were also waiting to indicate that there was no more water in their room! Anyway, we were offered to change rooms, which we did, so we walked 50m again (when you are in a hurry because you have a schedule to keep, I assure you that these 50m are really annoying, especially when it is not a single round trip...) we changed rooms, and here we go again, the water still does not work. So, once again, 50 meters to get to reception, informing us that we had just changed rooms and the water still wasn't working, only for someone to call reception to say the water was working again. We were only able to wash an hour later. We changed rooms and the noise was still unbearable. Otherwise, breakfast was fine for me. I found it very good and varied. But I would advise you to pay a little more if you want the bare minimum in your room. Thanks anyway.
