A very nice hotel in a prime location, directly on Lake Badersee, surrounded by forest and at the foot of the Waxenstein mountains, in the heart of the Zugspitze region. Parking is available at the hotel or in the underground garage. However, since most guests probably arrive by car, we find it incomprehensible that there are fees for the simple(!) parking space... Public transport connections are available near the hotel. The cogwheel train and the cable car to the Zugspitze are easily accessible. Lake Eibsee, with the cable car valley station and the cogwheel train station, is in the immediate vicinity (10-15 minutes by car, ample parking). Tickets can be booked at reception. As far as we could see, all the rooms have a balcony, are modern and functionally furnished, and have everything you need. We were only there for four days and only had a brief room cleaning during that time, so we can't say much about that. Regarding meals: Half-board was included for us. It was generally offered buffet-style, and the selection was varied, plentiful, and very tasty! The staff are very, very friendly and eager to fulfill the guests' wishes. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the spa as much as we had hoped; massages weren't available. In conclusion: We had a lovely few days, were able to take day trips in the surrounding area, and enjoyed our time at the hotel.

We were given a room that was full of dead flies (drain flies or something similar) on the balcony and in the toilet. We were then given a new room which looked clean. However, the shower drain was so clogged that the water pooled in the shower after only a few minutes and also overflowed from the door. So we were standing with our feet in dirty water. The shower also had mold. We returned to the room at 3 p.m. on the second day, and it still hadn't been cleaned. The staff speaks poor German. Not recommended at this price; we won't be coming back.

A lovely hotel in a superb location with stunning views... The spa and fitness room are well-equipped. Unfortunately, the half-board buffet and self-service options have a cafeteria feel.
