Hotel Amadeus Torino

I booked this Hotel Amadeus in Turin for June 5th and 6th, 2025. At midday on June 5th, they contacted me to cancel the reservation. They offered me an alternative room at the Residence d'Azeglio, 3 km away from the Hotel Amadeus. At check-in, they asked for payment in advance, but I never received a receipt, as they stated: "We'll email you the receipt." On that occasion, considering that there would be no reception in the second room, I asked if there would be blankets for the night and a minibar. They replied, "Everything is there!" When I entered the room for a quick freshen-up, I didn't find any soap or shower gel, as I would have expected given the price of the room. The shower stall was gross. When I returned in the evening: I found no blankets in the closet. The wardrobe had two doors completely hanging down. I found no minibar, much less water. There was an old, unplugged refrigerator with old cookware inside: plastic pans and plates. To even charge my phone, there were no power outlets near the bed in the room except for the TV and one in the bathroom. The floor had piles of dust that could fit in a fist. A small, rusty balcony overlooking the interior of a house with a chair full of dust and torn canvas. Due to the serious service issue, I tried to contact them several times that evening and over the following days without a response. Aside from the unsightly appearance of the room, it was impossible to sleep in it. I was cold, and there were no blankets or water, as I had specifically requested when I paid in advance. I'm also very allergic to dust. I had to find another hotel on the spur of the moment after a tiring day in an unfamiliar city, with all the inconvenience one can imagine. With my phone dead, I used GPS to find a hotel, hoping not to get stuck in a city I don't know. In addition to filing a complaint, the health authorities should be notified of the unsanitary and dilapidated condition of the room. I paid them €143.60, which I never received as promised. I can't believe how they manage to get away with so many people, given the numerous and terrible reviews.

I recently booked a room at Hotel Amadeus through Expedia and my experience was extremely disappointing. The day before check-in, I received detailed instructions with times and address, but when I arrived, I found the hotel closed. The taxi dropped me off in front of the hotel, where a sign stated they were closed and had canceled reservations. This statement is completely false, as I received no communication from them. Another sign on the door stated that the hotel was closed for renovations, but there was no one inside or outside. The building looked abandoned. This caused me enormous inconvenience, as I was in town for a conference and had chosen this hotel for its convenient location and competitive price. I had to contact Expedia, who tried to call the hotel countless times without success, as no one was there to answer. I found myself waiting there while Expedia tried to resolve the situation, while Hotel Amadeus had already collected my money. After an hour and a half, Expedia managed to find another hotel, but it was over 3 km from the conference location, forcing me to spend 18 euros on a taxi and use public transportation every day. In conclusion, Hotel Amadeus is neither honest nor professional. I strongly recommend staying away from this establishment, which has demonstrated a lack of respect for its guests and a complete disregard for reservations. This is an unacceptable situation that should be reported.
