Hotel and Studios Cavos Bay

Beautiful hotel. Great breakfast spread.

10/10 great hotel! A very pleasant, atmospheric hotel with a stunning view of the endless sea. The location and views are incredible. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Ikaria. The rooms are clean, nice, and renovated, and the bathroom is equally beautiful, with nice tiles and a standard shower. Plus, the balcony/terrace is fantastic. There's a fridge and kettle in the room. The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom door, which would make it more private. Instead of a door, there are large glass panes. ;) The breakfasts were wonderful, everything was fresh and varied, and most importantly for me, they had fried eggs and Ikarian sage tea. There was also bacon, tiropita, szpanakopita (local Greek pastries), omelets, cheeses, ham, vegetables, yogurt, honey, jams, toast, and lots of sweet cookies. Overall, there was a wide selection. The coffee was delicious from the espresso machine. And the view of the sea from the breakfast terrace was amazing! The outdoor pool available to guests is fantastic, also with a sea view, and the second smaller infinity pool (heated in the evenings) is a seawater pool, which I consider fantastic, especially when the waves are high and it's difficult to swim. Beautiful, unique sunsets are available from the terrace or from the sea-view rooms. I recommend booking a sea-view room because it's truly worth it. I had a garden-view room, which turned out to have a wonderful side sea view. Unfortunately, there were no sea-view rooms available on my date. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A 2-minute walk from the hotel are taverns and the small town of Armenistis, where you'll find shops (including a large market with good prices). A 10-minute walk from the hotel is the beautiful sandy beach of Armenistis, and a little further on, Mesakti. These are the most beautiful sandy beaches in Ikaria. I recommend it 10/10!

We stayed at the Cavos Bay for a week in September 2025. The hotel particularly impresses with its location above the sea and its proximity to the port of Armenistis with its restaurants. The renovated rooms are large and very well-equipped. Room 116 is one of the quietest. Unfortunately, the restaurant hasn't been renovated yet... the pool area is clean and has new loungers. Unfortunately, the hotel also often hosts group tours, which isn't always pleasant at the breakfast buffet or on the terrace... The lobby terrace is all the more beautiful. Unfortunately, we didn't find a better alternative for individual travelers during our week (apart from the similarly sized Erofii Beach Hotel). All in all, a good choice!
