This place should NOT be advertised as a hotel — it is a motel at best. We paid between $130 and $230 per night (the rate changed every single night), which is completely unacceptable for what you get. By the time we realized how bad it was, it was too late to cancel. The bathroom is extremely small, smaller than most bathrooms in a regular house. The beds are old, uncomfortable, and make noise every time you move. Everything in the room sounds like it could break at any moment. The air conditioner is incredibly loud, and there is a constant rumbling noise from the ceiling that literally sounds like a train passing above you. You can hear the street noise and music clearly inside the room all night. There are no windows, which makes the room feel closed in and uncomfortable. For these prices, this is unacceptable. It is very loud inside the room. The walls literally shake and its 60-70 decibles in the 350+ room wing. Imagine being in a hotel next to a train track while the train is passing except it is constant. There was also no minifridge in the room.

If you're not looking for anything sunny and glamorous, the Apache might be the perfect Vegas hotel. While it's a bit dated and lacking frills, it is comfortable, clean, sturdy and old-fashion classy. I love it. And remember it is among the last "no resort fee" hotels in Vegas. Very affordable and very pleasing. And the location is right in the very center of the Downtown zone.
