Take your hard earned money and spend it on literally any other hotel. I can’t express enough how much I regret booking this hotel. From the moment we arrived I knew we’d made a mistake, but we didn’t have any other choice but to give it a chance. The bed was as hard as a rock, and had a giant hump in the middle. This for the listed price of 300€ is shameful. But, again, we didn’t have a choice so decided to suck it up. Then that night I got in the shower, which didn’t drain at all and had to be turned off every 2 minutes so that the whole bathroom didn’t flood. I had to turn it off 3 times, my partner twice during his shower. We decided at that point that we’d talk to the hotel the next day about changing rooms. We didn’t have time in the morning because we had timed entry tickets for Versailles and had to leave, but we stopped in at the front desk on our way back in the afternoon. We told him about the bed and the shower and asked for another room and were immediately met with, “Why didn’t you tell me this morning?! I can’t help you now, I have no rooms.” The correct and only response at this point was, “we’re so sorry, of course we’ll get you another room.” I told him I knew he had rooms because I could see them available on Expedia and he said that wasn’t true. He refused to check, he just yelled for someone to go up to the room to check the shower. At this point I asked him his name and he completely ignored me. Wouldn’t acknowledge the human standing in front of him speaking to him. He acted as though the shower issue was brand new information. They should have been well aware of the issue with the shower if anyone was doing an adequate job of cleaning the shower because the water wouldn’t be draining at all. So the cleanliness of the room is also in question here. But, I digress. They marched up to the room, threw some draino down the drain and said everything was fine. My partner again asked for another room because the bed was still not fixed and I didn’t actually believe the shower was just magically all better. He again told us there was no room because there was no cleaning staff available to clean any other rooms. I again pointed out that Expedia showed available rooms. He again basically ignored me with a simple, “no more rooms.” There was more back and forth and then suddenly out of nowhere he had another room upstairs for us. By this point it was way too late, he was a proven liar, I didn’t trust that the hotel was clean and we had no interest in staying in the hotel anymore. As we left, he continued to ask why we didn’t tell him in the morning because then he could have done something about the problems. We continued to tell him we didn’t have time in the morning, we had timed tickets and had to leave early. We pointed out that, what if we showered in the afternoon when we got back and that’s when we discovered the problem. He said, “well I would have fixed it or gotten you a different room.” So, he made our point for us that we should have just been given a different room but he couldn’t see that he was in the wrong. He just kept trying to blame the subpar room on us. Not once was there an apology or acknowledgment of the hotel being the problem. In the end, the bad room wasn’t even the main problem. It was the attitude and treatment from the front desk staff. We found a different hotel and left. We chose the expense of another hotel over staying in this one which was already paid for that we knew we wouldn’t be getting a refund for. And it was worth it. To sum up, the staff is beyond rude, dismissive, liars, and the rooms are worse than some hostels. So again, spend your money literally anywhere else.

The bedding is very poor, the soundproofing between rooms is very weak, the neighbors are noisy and inconsiderate, and to top it all off, I had no hot water on the first day of my three-night stay. It's a shame, because the hotel is very well located, but the management seems to leave much to be desired.
