Hotel Belfast

My spouse and I were robbed in our sleep at Hotel Belfast. Around twelve thirty in the morning, someone entered our second floor room and stole our wallets, our cash, and our phone. The police confirmed that entry was gained through the window. Our room faced a busy street that was fully visible from the front desk. The room was extremely hot and the air conditioning controls were locked, so we opened the window slightly to cool the space. When we reported the theft, staff initially doubted us. They insisted it was impossible, claimed nothing like this had ever happened, and even came into our room to search for our belongings themselves. Repeating that this situation had never occurred while we were standing there as victims was dismissive and provided no support. Because our room had been breached while we slept, we requested a full refund. Instead, the hotel moved us to another room and called it an upgrade. This was not an upgrade. It was simply the only safe place to sleep after a stranger entered our first room. Framing it as a favor was misleading. The manager later sent an email that was condescending and deeply inappropriate. He minimized the value of what had been stolen, blamed the open window, and presented a partial refund as if he were being generous. Not only did he refuse a full refund, he also questioned how a full refund would affect our emotions, as if our request were about feelings rather than the fact that our safety had been violated and our personal property, including our cash and our phone, had been taken. He further described the second room as a six hundred euro benefit we should appreciate, when in reality it was simply the only safe option the hotel could offer after the intrusion. Hotel Belfast failed catastrophically in its duty of care. Their actions and their communication afterward were condescending, dismissive, and insulting. This experience raised serious concerns about safety, security, and basic responsibility. A stranger entered our room while we were asleep and our property was stolen. Hotel Belfast responded with doubt, minimization, and only a partial refund. I strongly advise staying elsewhere

I had a good stay overall; however, I faced an issue after check-out. The hotel charged a £100 security deposit at check-in, and despite completing check-out with no damages or extra charges, the amount has not yet been refunded. I have contacted the hotel and Booking support and am currently waiting for a resolution. I hope this gets resolved soon, as transparency and timely refunds are essential for a good guest experience.

I was here for a week, a perfect hotel in every way!Its location is near the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees, with a metro station at the hotel entrance.The service from the entire team and the manager, Silvi, is simply perfect. They take care of everything, from the small to the large details. And it's probably really important to them that the customer is satisfied, the rooms are clean, the room service is excellent, And the hotel is quiet and gives a feeling of calm and tranquility,I will definitely come back again, thank you for a fun vacation😍❤️🙏
