Excellent. Beautiful view and friendly staff. The building is historic, but actually well-equipped and modern, except for minor things like the bathroom faucet. It's located a bit outside of Thun, about 15 minutes by bus.

The rooms were poorly cleaned, with hair and lint everywhere, including in the bathroom. Dust on the bedside tables and duvets. The mattresses were hard, the pillows so soft they were practically useless..., and lint from clothes was everywhere (pillows, duvets, sheets). Mold was everywhere in the shower, and there was pubic hair all over the toilet bowl and underneath. Paying a premium for a balcony only to end up with two chairs crammed into a space barely 40cm wide by 1m long. The breakfast was basic, with very little choice: two loaves of bread and three pastries, all bland and tasteless. As for the restaurant, we didn't go in because we wanted to have a drink with our meal, but that wasn't possible as the new owner is Muslim. A shame for a restaurant on the lake with what is surely a magnificent view. Parking is only available if you arrive before everyone else. There are a maximum of 10 seats, so when you come back from a restaurant, you just have to hope you get one. The only positive point of the stay was the view.

The rooms with a lake view and terrace are beautiful. The room itself is a bit dark, and the hot water in the shower takes a few minutes to arrive. The location is very convenient for taking the bus to Thun, 15 minutes away, or Interlaken. Frequent buses run. In the area, you can visit the Beatus Caves, Oberhofen Castle, and its gardens, which are open from spring to fall. Furthermore, in summer, the lake is suitable for swimming, and boats dock right next to the hotel.
