We chose this hotel because it belongs to the same chain we stayed at on our trip to Vienna. The value for money is good, the rooms are spacious, everything is clean, and the buffet has a good variety of options. The first night we noticed the hot water pressure was very low; the next morning we reported it to reception and within 30 minutes we were moved to another room. Perhaps one less star would be more fair to the hotel, especially compared to the one we stayed at in Vienna.

This hotel is advertised as a 4-star, which is clearly misleading. The establishment falls far short of expectations in terms of service, comfort, and even respect for guests. From the moment we arrived, the reception was cold, dismissive, and shocking. My partner was treated differently because of his nationality and appearance. The attitudes and tone used were clearly discriminatory, unacceptable in a hotel that is supposed to be upscale. An additional charge of 34 francs for two nights was imposed on us without any clear explanation, on top of the price we had already paid. A complete lack of transparency. The room was appalling: a crooked mirror, stained curtains and lampshades, dust around the vents, cheap decor, and a tiny, outdated television. For two days, no housekeeping was done: no bed made, no cleaning, nothing. The bathroom is outdated, the beds, and especially the pillows, are extremely hard, and the safe is ridiculously small. Even the coffee machine is a joke: no milk or cream, coffee drips out, and after three attempts, you don't even get half a cup of coffee. No real cups in a so-called 4-star hotel. The neighborhood is unpleasant, and the hotel is poorly located: at least a 15-minute walk from the metro. From the city center (Duomo), expect to pay around €20 for a taxi without traffic, much more with congestion. Photos are attached to support this review. In conclusion: this hotel absolutely does not deserve 4 stars, or even 1. To be avoided, especially by foreign travelers or those from minority groups.
