The receptionist's service is terrible. The rooms are very nice, and it's in an excellent location.

We stayed in Tulum, location was good, the breakfast was ok and at another nearby hotel as well. We had paid for our accomodation prior to our arrival, however during our check in we were informed that we needed to pay for an environmental fee. It would have been good if we had been informed about it upon our booking so we could have planned for the additional cost In addition to that we had booked a hotel advertised as adults only and to our surprised in the room next to us there were two kids that stayed for 2 nights. On the second night we were in our room at around 10pm, one of the kids was crying and making a lot of noise and when we mentioned it to the reception and asked why there were kids staying there we were told that they weren’t aware as they had booked it online??? All they did in the end was apologise and offer us to move rooms at nearly 11pm. We felt let down and disappointed as it was falsely advertised! Also the receptionist lacked transparency as she didn’t also give us relevant information that we needed when we used the hotel to organise a trip! Better communication would be better moving forward for the benefit of other guests! Overall the lack of transparency and communication was somewhat of a disappointment!
