I leave this review with a big delay, however 2024 summer I came here at 3AM as I was lost with a bike and not from around. a lady answered the door and found a room for me. It was clean comfortable and everything I could’ve asked for! It was a lifesaver as otherwise I would’ve slept on the street! Thank you 🙏

To be honest, I was simply looking for the cheapest hotel in the area and stumbled upon the Burghof Stolberg almost by chance. The hotel was just a means to an end for me. I was traveling with my girlfriend and simply needed affordable accommodation. The hotel is located right next to the highway, but surprisingly, this didn't bother us at all. There was hardly any noise, and we had peace and quiet at all times. The building is old, but cozy and has a certain charm. The lady at reception deserves special mention. She was very friendly and helpful. After seeing that I was there with my girlfriend, she even offered us a different room with a private bathroom so that she, as a woman, wouldn't have to use the shared toilet in the hallway. That was very thoughtful and absolutely commendable. The rooms are definitely dated, but clean and perfectly adequate. For the price we paid, we really couldn't complain. Exactly what you'd expect if you were looking for a budget-friendly place to stay. One small side note, for which the hotel obviously has no control: opposite the hotel is a building with very conspicuous AfD (Alternative for Germany) advertising on its windows. This was somewhat disconcerting, but it doesn't belong to the hotel itself. In conclusion: If you're looking for affordable accommodation, peace and quiet, and don't have any luxury expectations, this is the place for you. Absolutely fair for the price.
