This hotel is amazing, beautiful location and great value!! The interior is modern while still feeling characteristic of Japanese design. The bus stop is a 3 minute walk and subway entrance is a 4 minute walk (maybe 7-8 total including the walk to the platform). The staff here are so kind and very helpful! They assisted in heating up our food and making sure a package I ordered had the correct address for my Tokyo hotel. Highly recommend staying if you get the chance!

Other than location and much needed laundry service everything is amazing at this place. Spacious rooms and best bathrooms. Close to a subway station but still multiple transfers needed sometimes. Nearby breakfast place, 7-11 is walkable, bust stop is nearby. West kyoto is morr accessible.

THis is my perspective of what I've experienced that I have compared with other Japanese hotel I've stayed. Pros: Felt like a newer hotel that just operated, room was decently sized, theres a pretty big desk, ample of power socket (table and drawer), had sleep wear / and all the basic bathroom amenities, bidet was the newer ones with auto open. next to nijojo station, but not as decent as the line next to it (karasuma) Had to cross the main street to get on to the bus to all the places of interest Cons: Most of the staff I've experience seems to be part timers (arubaito) response seems very inexperience, when our luggage hasn't arrive and forgotten to replace a new set of sleepwear, not a bad thing and tolerable for us but comparing with other hotel in Japan this seems like a big oopsie. Seems like lack of staff. i,e only 1 or 2 person handling everything. Bathroom shower design is weird, basically trying to make it a bathtub but instead is just a squared tile area, I assume they are trying to meet specific requirements set by the town council or what not. Overall, Would recommend if you're staying for a few nights, good place for foreginers as the staff are native english speakers but you wont be able to get the authentic Japanese service feeling compare to other hotel. Almost Seems like a hotel that is owned by foreigner. Will recommend others if you're staying longer in Kyoto.
