If I could give it fewer stars, I would. Before arriving in Cartagena, I contacted them to arrange tours and activities, and the customer service is TERRIBLE. They are absolutely useless, offering zero assistance and zero friendliness. Don't waste your time and money; go to another hotel. The Dubai is permanently dirty and in constant decline. The doors don't open fully, the elevators lack air conditioning and are always filthy, the pool is ridiculous, and while the rooms have a nice view, they are also full of problems. It's obvious the hotel is never maintained. Under no circumstances should you waste your money on the all-inclusive package. The food is utterly repulsive, a mixture of poorly cooked and badly seasoned leftovers. It seems they hired the WORST cook in all of Colombia. The snacks are pathetic and worse than the food, and to make matters worse, they are served in the pool area where everything gets spilled and there are countless puddles. Finally, I can't stress enough how deplorable the customer service was. Everyone in Cartagena is incredibly friendly, except for the hotel staff. It's like you always owe them money. There's absolutely no service, zero assistance for tourists, and the hygiene is appalling. HONESTLY, SAVE YOUR MONEY! YOU'LL BE BETTER OFF GOING TO A DIRTY MOTEL THAN THIS UGLY, FILTHY HOTEL! The photos are misleading!!!

The rooms aren't bad, although they could be better equipped. The air conditioning is quite noisy. The hotel's common areas look neglected, dirty, or simply too old—though they probably weren't nice to begin with. The food is definitely not recommended; if you're planning on paying for the buffet, forget it. Finally, the staff's service, or rather their attitude, leaves much to be desired, especially by hotel standards. It's as if you still owe them money from your payment.

The hotel is okay, but not amazing. The staff treated us very well, and the room with an ocean view is great, although the windows need maintenance. We had a less than pleasant experience with the food. Three out of the four of us in my family are vegetarians, and except for breakfast, lunch and dinner had zero vegetarian options, forcing us to look for food outside the hotel (which makes the all-inclusive option less appealing). I wouldn't recommend the hotel for vegetarians, and especially not for vegans. Otherwise, the pool was fine, and the location was fantastic! I could walk to the historic center in just 15 minutes.
