Hotel Casa Da Montanha

We were in Gramado and visited the Hotel Casa da Montanha as mere visitors. Initially, we were very well received by a friendly staff, especially João, who showed us the hotel's public areas. At the end of the visit, he offered us invitations to city attractions that supposedly had an agreement with the hotel's owner group. To do this, he completed a quick registration and emphasized that it was only to release the invitations, without any commitment on our part. I even mentioned that we had experienced an unpleasant situation in the past involving timeshare presentations to obtain benefits, and he assured us that this was not the case. However, upon leaving the hotel, a car with a driver was waiting to take us to the place where we were "supposedly" to pick up the invitations. Upon arriving there, we were directed to a reception area where they began another registration process, this time with quite invasive questions, such as income, assets, and net worth. When we questioned the reason, we were informed that we actually needed to attend a presentation about the launch of timeshare ownership. What bothered me most was the lack of transparency from the beginning. We felt cheated because, despite finding it strange, we inquired about it and were denied. If it had been clearly stated that the invitation was conditional on participation in a sales presentation, we could have freely decided whether or not we wanted to participate. The experience ended up being frustrating, especially since it involved the name of a hotel that appears to be of a high standard. This type of approach used to be very common in the city, and we believed it no longer happened. It's a shame to see the hotel associated with this type of practice. REGRETTABLE!

Beautiful, great place to stay in Gramado, excellent location.

My daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and I stayed there from the 5th to the 12th! A wonderful experience, starting with the incredibly kind staff. We highly recommend it.
