If your room is in a good location, you'll have Hamamatsu Castle right in front of you. The breakfast was on par with that of a tourist hotel, with a wide variety of delicious food including chef-made omelets, eel rice, Hamamatsu gyoza, oden, and more.

I stayed here for a New Year's trip. It's a tall building, and the view of Hamamatsu Castle from my room was spectacular. However, the heating was on and it was hot in the room. All rooms are air-conditioned, so it might be a good idea to turn the air conditioning off or adjust the intensity. The breakfast buffet is highly recommended, with a luxurious selection of shirasu (whitebait), sakura shrimp, eel rice, and Shizuoka oden. I was also surprised that they offer ochazuke (rice with tea) and soft serve ice cream. The best part is that you order and the chef makes a fluffy and creamy omelette right in front of you. I'd like to try making one myself someday. I've traveled to Shizuoka several times before, but this was a very memorable stay.

I stayed in mid-December. Due to rain, I arrived in the afternoon and had lunch at the hotel. (I was surprised at this large hotel.) The buffet area was closed for a while due to capacity restrictions, so I gave up and ate outside. I returned and waited in the lounge for about an hour. Perhaps due to the rain, check-in began and I was able to enter my room. Since my plan included dinner and breakfast, I didn't go out after that (I was satisfied with both meals). Other reviews mentioned that the room was noticeably old and the bathroom was small, and that people could hear noises from next door, but I didn't find it bothersome (the unit bath is unavoidable, but you can stretch your legs while bathing). The food was also satisfying, and I think it was worth the price... I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity. I wish there was a coffee shop in the lobby and extra toilet paper in the room...
