Erion stands out for his incredible courtesy and professionalism. Always smiling, quick to serve and with great knowledge of drinks – whether you want a classic cocktail or something more special, he will suggest exactly what suits your mood. He creates a comfortable and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like a regular from the first moment. Gabriel, on the other hand, brings energy and a positive aura behind the bar. He is communicative, humorous and has great attention to detail. His drinks are always neat, properly served and with a perfect balance of flavors. He makes sure that nothing is missing from anyone and keeps the vibe of the place at its best. Together they form a strong team: impeccable cooperation, fast service and real interest in the customer. If a bar is judged by its people, then with these two behind the bar, we are talking about a top experience.

My best experience so far in a 5-star hotel in Oslo. The prime location goes without saying. But the service, the decor, the tidiness, the amenities, the cleanliness, and the breakfast buffet absolutely deserve mention. On the first night, I was bothered by noise from a side street (in Oslo, clubs are allowed to play music outside to a certain extent, even in winter and without a specific reason), so I called reception to ask for clarification and a solution. They immediately expressed their sincere apologies, offered me a different room right away, and even suggested bringing me some earplugs to try. After I agreed, it took less than two minutes for a friendly young woman to knock on my door, hand me the earplugs, reiterate her apologies, and repeat the offer of a room change. This time, I was able to sleep soundly without any of the hassle of the previous night. The next morning, I experienced the most magnificent breakfast I've encountered in decades of hotel stays. There was truly nothing lacking! Various types of marinated or otherwise prepared fish and seafood were available, along with an overflowing selection of international (including German) breads, a variety of (exotic and rare) fruits, and all sorts of common and standard egg dishes, fried foods, and various international toppings. Fresh juices, various whey products, and authentic Norwegian specialties (brunost, mole jam, etc.) were also on offer. At the table, I was immediately asked about my preferred beverage (they had every kind of tea and coffee specialty), and the restaurant manager was right there beside me when I stood searching at the buffet. I was missing cream cheese for my crab; it was nowhere to be found. After a brief exchange of Norwegian and English (I speak a little Norwegian and enjoy the language), the chef himself came over with a small container of Philadelphia cream cheese (lol) and apologized for not having put simple cream cheese on the buffet. And that wasn't all. Later in my stay, I asked for shoe polish after a muddy afternoon. The response was a request to lend my shoes for a moment so they could clean them. On the day of my departure, it was raining, and I didn't have an umbrella and was annoyed by the short walk ahead. When the receptionist asked if everything was alright, I mentioned the weather and the fact that I didn't have an umbrella. Without further ado, they provided me with one of the hotel's umbrellas free of charge. I have never (!) felt so well treated. I won't mention the celebrity guests who were staying there at the same time, and whose (American) security I briefly spoke to at breakfast, to protect their privacy... ;-) It was a wonderful time there, just under a week in Oslo, and with such a welcoming and attentive stay!

Simply one of the best hotel experiences we have had in over 40 years of travelling The hotel is fantastically located to everything in Oslo and the AirPort Express train (gotoget) takes to straight it there. There was nothing the hotel would do for you and the staff were utterly brilliant. Highly recommend the breakfast as it caters for all tastes and dietary needs and sets you well for the day. Would be our go to hotel when in Oslo.
