The staff were attentive and helpful, which made up for some of the hotel's other shortcomings. I specifically chose this hotel for the **spa**, which was serviceable and well-maintained. It met my expectations and provided a decent experience. **Room conditions** were problematic. The hotel feels dingy and desperately needs updating. The bathroom requires renovation - the sink was literally coming apart. Most concerning was the **mattress, which had heavy staining**. The windows were drafty, but leaving the heat on all night dried out the room terribly and left me with a sore throat the next morning - I'd recommend leaving it off if you can tolerate the draft. **Security concerns**: Housekeeping leaves multiple room doors open simultaneously during cleaning, creating obvious theft opportunities. The hotel clearly knows this is an issue since their information sheet explicitly states they're not responsible for theft and instructs guests to store valuables at the front desk. Take this warning seriously. One disappointment: the travel site indicated breakfast was included, but it wasn't actually offered. I didn't try the restaurant, so I can't comment on the food. **Bottom line**: The excellent service and good location don't offset the poor room conditions and security issues. The stained mattress alone would make me hesitate to return. Only consider this if you're desperate for the location and can store everything valuable at the front desk.

The rooms appear to have been renovated and are neat and tidy. However, there are noticeable stains and scratches in places. The unit bathroom has not been renovated and is small and dirty. The hotel probably didn't need to renovate the unit bathroom because it already has a sauna and bathroom. There is Wi-Fi on every floor, but it's unusable because it's intermittent and unreliable. I don't like using shared bathrooms and saunas, so I showered in the unit bathroom, but it was disappointingly dirty. If you don't use the unit bathroom, this hotel would probably rate it highly. The price is also a bit high, so overall... That's my impression.
