Da Vinci Hotel & Spa

Superb hotel! Spacious rooms, and the staff are pleasant and smiling. One small drawback: several times during the evening, our room key card didn't work, meaning we had to call reception to open our room and the spa – a shame. Apart from this minor issue, we had an excellent stay! Thank you.

It was simply wonderful. I felt very comfortable in this hotel and I will definitely return soon. Many thanks to Guiseppe , who was extremly friendly and made our stay so pleasant.

This experience has stayed with me for 2 years, and I feel compelled to finally leave this review. On arrival, we were abruptly told at reception that our room was “no longer available” and that we had supposedly been informed by email. We had received no such email. When we asked to see proof of this communication, none could be produced. The reception staff were dismissive and arrogant whenever I expressed concern. We were repeatedly told not to worry because accommodation “around the corner” had been arranged for the same price and that we could still pop in to use the spa in da Vinci hotel!! There was no second means of contact tried such as a phone call. We were simply informed of this after showing up, luggage in hand, in a foreign city as two 19 year olds. This alternative accommodation was absolutely not equivalent to a 4-star hotel. The building was noisy, the floors creaked constantly, and our room was beside the stairs, meaning we could hear guests all night. It felt like this was not an isolated incident, but rather an arrangement between the two properties — particularly when the hotel is busy or accommodating higher-paying guests — with overflow quietly redirected elsewhere without proper notice. We were young at the time and it genuinely felt like we were treated as expendable rather than valued, paying guests. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and empathy was unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking as it threw our whole holiday off.
