Hotel Danrokan

I stayed for one night, and to sum up, I don't even want to give it a star. 1. I vaguely knew from reviews that the building was old, but the room was worse than I expected. There were stains on the walls, stains and dirt on the carpet, the hot water had to be adjusted manually by turning the faucet, and the air conditioning was loud and bothersome in the middle of the night. The TV stand (or something like that) was also badly scratched and kind of scary... The photos on the website and booking site seemed to have cleverly captured the best parts. 2. The hotel was not well-cleaned. I can't help it being old, but there was a lot of dust and hair on the carpet next to the bed and in other hard-to-see places. The all-you-can-eat ice cream is only available at the front desk, so when I went there, I found that food scraps and dishes hadn't been cleared away, and it didn't feel clean at all. This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel like this. I checked in in the evening, and the same trash was still there when I checked out the next morning, so I think it must have been left there for several hours. I'm happy that they offer all-you-can-eat Chateraise ice cream, but there was always a lot of ice cream trash. ③ The front desk service was terrible. When I checked in, an older male staff member was overbearing, which made me feel uncomfortable even before my stay. I wondered how a front desk staff member could behave like that. ④ I couldn't use the hot spring. Because the hot spring is small, the front desk seems to manage the number of people allowed in and limit the number of people allowed in, but since it was a long weekend, it was always full and I ended up not being able to use the hot spring. This may be unavoidable, but it was a bit disappointing. It's close to the station, and the welcome sweets and all-you-can-eat ice cream are nice, but I think that accommodation is also a form of travel, so if you're looking for a high-quality experience, I recommend avoiding this hotel. I stayed there during the long weekend, and it cost just under 20,000 yen per night, but for that price, I think a reasonably clean business hotel with no meals included would be better. I'll never go again. It was the worst.

There is dust accumulated on the thresholds and sliding doors. Perhaps because the hotel is old, the sliding doors are stained and torn and the shoji screens are peeling. There are scratches on the floor and tables. The staff at the front desk do not speak very nicely. You can choose sweets for the number of people at the front desk, and there were also Japanese sweets in the room. The toilet and bathroom are separate. There is a hand washing area in the toilet but no towels. There is a gap under the sliding door, so it may smell if you go to the bathroom.

This time we were only able to use the entire hall. As you'd expect from Chateraise, the desserts were lavish. It's located in the center of Kofu and close to the station, so it's easy to access. The food was also delicious.
