Hotel Daucher

The hotel is located about 3 km from the A9 motorway. While the building looks a bit dated, it has everything you need for an overnight stay. The rooms have been recently renovated, and the bed was very comfortable. We booked breakfast, and all in all, it was a very pleasant stay. A few things to keep in mind: Parking on the property costs €10. Breakfast costs €15.90. You can even do a late check-out until 2 pm, but that also costs €10.

Unfortunately, during our stay, our room was entered and found in a state we definitely hadn't left it in. Personal belongings were scattered on the floor, the light was on, and the curtain was open even though we had closed it. We reported this immediately, but the owner offered no cooperation or helpful explanation. For us, this is absolutely unacceptable. Never again. Addendum: Apparently, our emails weren't read or considered properly. Within a few hours of the incident, we sent a detailed written report via email, precisely describing the condition of the room (messy bed, clothes scattered, light on, curtain open). We never wanted to cancel, as we urgently needed the room due to a personal emergency. Nevertheless, we were offered no solution, no compromise, and no serious attempt at clarification. Instead, we had the impression that the incident was being downplayed. Regarding communication: We were promised a response by Monday, but in reality, we didn't receive one until Wednesday, and only after a follow-up inquiry. Regarding parking: We were explicitly told on-site that we were not allowed to use the two remaining parking spaces. We naturally complied with this. Furthermore, we have still not received an invoice, even though this should be standard practice in a proper transaction. We have repeatedly tried to resolve the matter objectively and fairly. Unfortunately, without success. Overall, we are very disappointed with how the situation was handled and the communication.

I'm a tour bus driver. For the past three years, I've stayed there every week, both in winter and summer. The hotel is great for my group: it has everything I need; it's quiet; and it's located so that several grocery stores are a 5-minute walk away; public transport is also just 50 meters from the door. Furthermore, the staff is very nice, helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend it.
