BAD EXPERIENCE We booked a room through Booking.com, attracted by the photos of a room and bathroom in the current style, so we imagined it had been renovated. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room with carpeting, which I'm allergic to. After almost an hour, we managed to get another room without carpeting, but as soon as we turned on the TV, it didn't work. We immediately reported the problem to reception and were connected to the manager. We asked for a refund so we could move to another hotel, but we were told that wasn't possible and they would only give us a voucher for another stay, which we weren't interested in. So, we agreed to stay only on the condition that the TV be repaired. (By 7:00 PM, they assured us it had been fixed, but in fact, it was still causing problems, albeit less so.) Additionally, the management of access to the restricted traffic zone in the historic center was unclear: during the booking process, it mentioned "two entries," but they explained that only meant entering and exiting once, contrary to what we had interpreted. This forced us to take a bus and then a taxi, with inconvenience and additional costs, to comply with the ZTL rules. Before leaving, the manager told us there were two entrances and therefore two entrances, something they had denied the day before. In short, our experience was terrible; we left after one night, despite having paid for two nights. So, to summarize: misleading room photos, a bathroom that was truly subpar, technical problems that weren't immediately resolved, lack of flexibility in refunds, and unclear management of the ZTL. We will never return to this hotel and want to warn other guests to be careful.
