I stayed at this hotel in early February for four nights, and my experience was barely acceptable. I enjoyed my entire Vienna trip quite a bit, but this hotel was one of the few things that left me with some complaints. Pros: 1. Excellent location, convenient transportation, and very close to Belvedere Palace. 2. Affordable price. 3. The room was quite large, the antique-style solid wood furniture created a nice atmosphere, and the room itself was fairly clean. Cons: 1. The size of the bathroom seemed to differ from the pictures used on the HRS.com booking website. I was clearly misled; the bathroom was much smaller than I imagined, and the furnishings were completely different. Also, the shower curtain wasn't long enough, making it easy for water to splash out of the shower area, resulting in a lot of water pooling on the bathroom floor. Please see the photos I've attached for the bathroom size. 2. Even before using any of the bathroom facilities, I could smell urine just by opening the shower curtain. I suspect this is because the shower curtain was too close to the toilet, causing residual urine from the previous male guest to accidentally splash onto the curtain. I believe this is a serious lapse in hygiene management, and the hotel management should likely review their cleaning and quality control procedures. The relative positions of the shower curtain and toilet can be seen in the photos I took immediately upon entering the room, before any changes were made. Furthermore, the hotel itself does not have coin-operated washing machines, and nearby coin-operated laundromats are not very close, especially considering you'll be walking in the rain. Guests planning to use coin-operated washing machines should consider this issue first.
