The hotel's rooms are a bit dated, and the dining room isn't quite 4-star. The staff, however, is friendly and helpful. I don't understand how the stars are assigned.

Hotel Galidon in the town of Forio has 5 thermal pools and offers various treatments. We were accommodated in a building outside the main one. The room was clean, but the bathroom could do with renovation. Water should be saved, but there are still classic taps that need to be tightened. There is no insect screen on the balcony door, which is also the only window. In the summer, it must be a pleasure to sleep here in the heat. As for the food. The cooking is very good, the staff is nice and helpful. There is plenty of food. With half board, wine and water are included in the price for dinner. Which is rare in many hotels. A swimming cap is required for the pools, as is the case everywhere on the island in the spa. It is a nice walk to the town or there is a shuttle bus from the hotel. It goes free to Citara beach (there are no toilets or changing rooms) and to the town of Forio. There is a public transport stop just below the hotel. We liked it here. A few small things that could be improved. Be careful, the sockets are different than here and you can't plug in older electrical devices. An adapter is required. I would like to come back here in the future.
