The ideal kind of hotel, I think, is one that sits close to the city center but just far enough outside the traffic-free zones to save you a headache. This one gets that balance right. They even have an arrangement with a nearby parking owner about a hundred meters down the road, which feels a bit like having a secret garage only locals know about. I stayed here in May and honestly, I loved it. It isn’t huge and yes, some corners whisper “slightly vintage” rather than “brand-new chic”, but everything was spotless and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. There’s a jacuzzi area on the roof as well; it was closed when I arrived, probably a summer-only treat, which gives me an extra excuse to come back. Breakfast was excellent, served with a beautiful view over the park, and the room suited my taste perfectly. All in all, I’d return in a heartbeat… and maybe this time I’ll catch that rooftop jacuzzi actually behaving like a jacuzzi.

Loved it. The beds are comfortable and the view into the park was lovely and makes the room very quiet. Incredible hot shower. Liked living here. The breakfast was a bit slim for me since I prefer a savory breakfast and they have plenty of sweets, cakes and desert style stuff. Everything major was in walking distance, like pharmacies, markets to get water and snacks and of course restaurants and ice cream stores. The overall design of the hotel is a mix of Jugendstil and Mackintosh. It’s very clean and the staff at the front desk was very eager to help and spoke good English. Definitely would recommend and stay here again! (The bugs mentioned in the other review are Moskito bites and more than normal for Sicily, just don’t have the lights on when it’s dark outside and you have the window open and feel free to use common sense)
