We booked a budget double room for €133 per night on Trip.com. In the "choose room" section, I saw photos of a room with two single beds and a bathroom—simple, with a city view (or so it said). It was nothing like the room we were given. I went up to reception and asked if they could change it, as it looked nothing like the one we had booked based on the photos. They told me no, that everything was booked, and that the photos had always been the same. Coincidentally, they found two rooms available with a view of the Ponte Vecchio, and they told me I would have to pay an extra €200 if I changed. The "city view" was actually a view of an alley where there was a bar that was having a party that night. For us, it was a horrible experience. In fact, if we hadn't paid in advance, we would have looked for another hotel for the second night, and if we had seen the real photos, we would never have booked that hotel.

The best experience in Florence. We arrived on November 5th and stayed for 3 nights. Our room was on the fourth floor and, despite all the negative comments, it was very quiet and comfortable. We loved the breakfast and the view! The location is perfect if you want to see Florence, you can't get much better. I hope we see you again, thanks Paolo, Allegra, and Marina!!!
