I stayed at the Ivy recently and had a poor experience Most importantly, I was charged $160 after checkout for the minibar which we did not use. I noticed the error on my bill and called the day after my stay and was told over the phone would be fixed. I never received an updated folio, but eventually saw a pending reversal on my card statement. However the reversal was removed later in the week, leaving the $160 charge. I called the Ivy again today and they then said it was too late to make the correction and I'd have to wait for their accountants to review during the work week.. I'm at a loss for why the charge was made to my account in the first place, and why It wasn't fixed when I first called. This issue still hasn't been resolved A few other service issues stood out -The check in staff defaulted my welcome gift to points instead of Breakfast, rather than asking me at check in -I was also overcharged at the restaurant/bar during dinner (this was corrected by the bartender) when we pointed it out. -The rooms could use better sound insulation (lots of sound coming from the hallways) -Coffee machines were removed from the rooms (this is generally fine, but when i went downstairs for coffee, nobody was working the lobby bar) After being overcharged and the hotel generally less impressive service than previous stays, I won't be staying again.

I stayed at the Ivy for the convenience of going to the convention center. The rooms were clean but the best part is their bathroom. Nice huge tubs with a separate shower. Very spacious. The staff was also helpful with finding a parking ramp that was tall enough for trucks. She actually looked up the clearance for each ramp and gave us directions. Only complaint was the pillows. Just before this I stayed at the Hilton and their pillows were amazing. But pillows don't warrant a star so I'm giving this place 5 stars and I would stay here again.
