Hotel Jodai

I was intrigued by the various reviews and decided to stay there. Internet access is also available! (See below) The room was a standard, slightly older business hotel. The front desk attendant, while admittedly not the most impressive, was neither good nor bad. My room was a single, but the bathroom was reasonably clean, and the hot and cold water was perfectly fine, likely due to a minor renovation seven or eight years ago. The shampoo and conditioner were the slightly more upscale type you'd find in a super hotel. The toilet even had a washlet. It was a very ordinary design, so I overlooked it at first. The walls were quite thin, and I could hear people talking. The soundproofing may have been a bit weak. The window frames were made of the popular high-insulation resin, providing excellent insulation. This is a good thing. The front desk was open until midnight, and there were convenience stores, restaurants, and a laundromat nearby, so I thought it would make a great starting point for exploring Izumo. Both check-out and check-in were met with all my basic needs and very well-maintained. Now, I'm having issues with the internet connection at this hotel. I tried to connect to the JODAI SSID (wireless ID) but...oh no! I brought my laptop and checked the IP address, and it was properly set up for DHCP and secure. So...it must be DNS. I instinctively thought, and I was right. I don't know the details, but the connecting device is the SoftBank replacement router in the room and I think the upstream settings are probably wrong. I wonder who I should complain about this to lol. Well, it's beyond our control, and the person in the lobby probably doesn't know how to complain either lol. Your communication equipment is set up so it doesn't automatically retrieve DNS properly. It'll lead to the question, ``Is there something wrong with your DNS server settings?'' This is a bit of a digression, but please set it to the trusted Google DNS. As shown in the photo, try setting your preferred DNS to [8.8.8.8] and your alternate DNS to [8.8.4.4]. You should be able to connect without any problems. It didn't work at first on my smartphone either, but after specifying the same DNS, it connected right away. My computer is a 10-year-old piece of junk with Wi-Fi at under 5, so communication is slow, at 50Mbps, but I think the latest Wi-Fi would be faster. That said, the communication environment scores are reasonably good, so it should work without any problems. If you're having trouble connecting and breaking out in a panic, try changing the DNS. Hotels can't compete with modern services, and a Dormy Inn opened nearby in the summer and is always fully booked. And the price is only a little over 10% different, so it's pretty tough. If you treat it like a business hotel from the late 90s, I don't think there'll be any problems. It's no match for hotels from the last 10 years, but if you can't get a reservation anywhere in the area, why not give it a try? Let's become adults who can pick up the good things!

It's old, but not dirty, but it's not clean. It has all the amenities you need. You'd be forgiven for thinking there's no Wi-Fi (you can barely check social media in the early hours). It seems to be run by a single person, so the service is a bit cumbersome in the early mornings. When using a coupon, "Credit card payments are not accepted." Well, if it's cheap, that's understandable, but it's a mediocre accommodation.

It's difficult to connect to Wi-Fi.
