Looks like a great higher class alpine hotel, but their customer service could not dissapoint me more. On March 9th I made a booking for 14-16th May. On March 10th I found out it was my huge mistake, I wanted to book March dates (12-14th). The price for my March dates was tripled (high season) I know, my mistake, it was busy time - I take 100% responsibility, but I just didnt notice - for the first time in my life with booking. Because of this high price (triple of original booking) I couldnt accept change of dates to March. Since I tried to cancel the next day after the reservation, and booking was two months ahead, I respectfully requested to at least decrease cancelation fee from 100% to 50%, so it can cover the cost for administration, but still I can save some money. There was clearly no bad intention from my side. I won´t travel to Kitzbuehel in May. So I just lost my money - 340€ for two nights. I would expect that hotel with such a high class presentation would be more understandable, more customer oriented and not giving tons of excuses, why they cannot at least reduce my cancelation fee. Yes, I made a mistake and agreed with conditions. But life happens and mistakes too. Cancelation policy should protect the hotel. But in this case it doesn´t feel like protection, its just pure taking the advantage of my situation.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Kaiserhof in Kitzbühel. The hotel has a classic alpine ski-lodge feel with comfortable rooms and beautiful views of the Alps from ours. The location is fantastic—about a one-minute walk to the main gondola, plus a convenient ski locker room for gear. We added the breakfast buffet and it was excellent. It’s also just a quick five-minute walk to the charming Kitzbühel village for shopping and dining. Wonderful ski town and great skiing too. Overall a great value. Highly recommend.
