Just don't choose this hotel. Bulgarian standards differ significantly from those in Poland. If you're going to this country, look for premium hotels or at least 4 stars. Hotel Kaliopa is begging for renovation or, more likely, a decent hotel in this location. The food in the adjacent restaurant was subpar, greasy, and monotonous. The smell was off-putting. The entrance to the rooms—the external staircase was off-putting (brrrr...), and there's no elevator. Everything was so old it was impossible to wash or clean. Now the pros: a perfect location right on the beach (with the window open, you can hear the sound of the sea), very friendly receptionists (you can easily communicate in English), towels changed daily, bed linen every other day. Mattresses are clean and comfortable. There's a dedicated beach for guests. Each room comes with two sunbeds and an umbrella included in the price. (You can purchase foam mattresses for two leva per day.) I wholeheartedly recommend Albena—a small, interesting resort with plenty of space to stroll around. A market, restaurants, hotels...plus some attractions for children. And there's a beautiful, wide, sandy beach where you can walk, collect shells, and admire the views. I'll definitely be back. ❤️

The hotel is right next to beach, and the view from the room was a killer. The stuff is nice and friendly, if you need something you can always go at the reception and ask. The hotel is clean, it's location is spot on, close to everything in Albena. All in all, great value for the money.

This hotel is great and cheap! It is by the sea, there are sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. There is also a pool, one of them is 75 cm and the other is 130 cm. I was in a room overlooking the tennis court, but there are also rooms with a sea view. It is clean inside. There was also a restaurant downstairs. The pizzas there are unique. The staff is polite and fast. A real vacation!
