This was my first time at Hotel Kitzhof, on the recommendation of long-time regular guests, and I must say: the recommendation was absolutely justified. You quickly realize that all the staff here truly go out of their way to ensure guests feel comfortable. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. I was particularly impressed by Niko and Vito! They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and had a really great way with guests. A big thank you also to Petra and Peter from the spa. I have rarely experienced such warmth, care, and helpfulness. I felt completely at ease and am already looking forward to my next visit.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while and I am finally doing it! Last December, I stayed at the Kitzhof for my second Christmas there. It truly is one of my favorite places to be in Austria. Upon arrival, they already knew my name (I hope that means I'm a good guest!) and I had the key to my room in no time. Thank you for the welcome drinks! I love the smell of the room - it's warm and like local pine wood. My room had a balcony overlooking the main road but the sound never bothered me much. I love how the doors have the option of opening, or tilting got let air in. Before I forget, I want to shout out Thomas (one day we'll get that drink!), Timothee (I think that is his name in the restaurant, Lou and her nephew. I hope he's adjusting well to Austria! They all made my trip memorable. Also, there was a Hungarian man who cleaned my room. I wish I had him name, thank you to him for getting me memory foam pillows! The food was delcious. The crew in the morning were awesome. That's how I met Lou and talked to her often. The spa area is nice alibiet small. I did a dry float, not knowing what it was, but enjoyed it very much. It was a great little nap. The hotel is about 8 minute walk from the city center. I enjoyed walking to and from town. Oh, and it snowed on Christmas Eve. So it felt very magical! Lastly, on my day of departure, I took the shuttle to the train station. The kind man at the front desk offered to get me a cappacino before I left. I had to leave before I could get it. About 10 minutes later, the shuttle came back to the train station and the driver had my coffee. Now THAT is 5* service! Thank you for making it a wonderful trip. I hope to bring family or someone special next time. Please tell everyone I gave them a shout out!
