My wife, daughter and her husband stayed here on a trip. We were very satisfied with the hot springs, meals, facilities, rooms, and amenities. The access (corridor) from the parking lot to the lobby to the dining area was wonderful. However, getting to the baths was a bit of a hassle, but I guess this was to separate it from other guests. I'd definitely like to stay at this hotel again if I have the opportunity.

Personally, I found the reception service to be rather poor. Even though it was check-out time, there was no one at the counter, and there were a few people looking confused. The staff were not even smiling. Perhaps because the hotel is far from Arashiyama, there aren't many foreign guests, but I was unable to use the open-air bath because a foreigner was using their cell phone while soaking. I immediately called the front desk, but a man there simply said, "I understand, please wait a moment," and hung up the phone. I waited, but no one came. In the end, I had to give up on the open-air bath, which was very disappointing, as I was looking forward to it. The person sitting in the chair to dry their hair was completely naked, and they had tattoos, so I wondered what the next person would think. I only enjoyed the indoor bath, but the hot spring itself was very good, as the slippery water left my skin feeling silky smooth. The dinner buffet had a wide variety of options, and I ate my fill.
