Oh, this little hotel is such a hidden gem! It’s tucked right off the freeway but somehow still feels coastal and calm. We loved walking to the La Jolla shore for ice cream at night and beach strolls in the morning. The king suite had two balconies with dreamy ocean and palm tree views .. so special. The staff (especially Stormi, the GM!) was so kind and attentive. Loved the Nespresso, loved the calm. Just the right blend of comfort and beachy charm.

This hotel is situated in the perfect place, hidden behind a veil of trees which hides the city/street from sight. It's a reasonable, 20-30 minute walk from the coastline, and only a 20-30 minute drive from the airport depending on the time of day. The staff was exceptional: very friendly and very professional. They were even willing to put the surprise cake I bought for a coworker in their employee fridge for a few hours! The rooms were comfy, spacious, and have walk-in showers (my preferred). However, there is minor opportunity for better cleanliness in the rooms. They were definitely taken care of, but there were small corners and crevices that could have used a good wipe-down to elevate my experience to a perfect 5 stars. Thank you for an excellent stay, and I'll 100% stay here again. I absolutely love the Curio Collection hotels.
