I can highly recommend this small, almost family-run, well-maintained hotel (only 9 rooms) on the second floor of a 15th-century building. It's especially convenient for train travelers—just a 6-minute walk from the main train station and a 3-minute walk from Piazza Santa Maria Novella. The rooms are small (typical for older buildings!) and very well-kept. No old-fashioned decorative clutter. The rooms facing the street have a certain level of noise at night, which is to be expected in any old town. However, some rooms facing the courtyard are completely quiet—so ask if that's important to you. The often-criticized breakfast is perfectly fine, especially since the very friendly staff will do a lot to accommodate your requests. You just have to communicate! The height of the chairs in the small, bright breakfast room takes a little getting used to 😉 I'm actually quite tall…the tabletop was at chest height for me. But this is really not a criticism. The service staff is exceptionally kind and attentive. Our conclusion - we couldn't have made a better choice - I will recommend it!

Excellent hotel, very spacious room for four, large bathroom. Very clean. Well located, a 10-minute walk from the Duomo and directly opposite Florence's magnificent historic perfumery. Very friendly staff.
