HOTEL LiVEMAX Chofu-Ekimae

Other people's reviews are pretty bad, but I wonder what they expect from LIVEMAX (lol). It seems strange to expect service from a budget hotel. This was my first time staying at LIVEMAX in Chofu. The facilities are old, but the interior has been renovated and is nice and clean. The whole hotel is air-conditioned, but it was so hot in December that it was too hot with the air conditioning on. I was able to stay comfortably without it. I found a delicious restaurant nearby, so I'd like to introduce it to you. Yojuhachi Gyojo Chofu Ekimae Branch. If you're looking for cheap drinks, you can get delicious, affordable drinks, and even the more expensive options were worth the price! The sashimi and oysters were delicious. LIVEMAX is good value for money if you're just looking to sleep.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The highlight was definitely the check-in experience—one of the staff members, a man who was incredibly attentive and cheerful, made me feel very welcome right from the start. The hotel itself is decent, offering comfortable accommodations and a good overall experience. Considering the price, it provides excellent value for money, making it a smart choice for travelers looking for a budget-friendly option without compromising too much on comfort. Overall, the friendly service combined with great cost-benefit made my stay enjoyable.

I've stayed in hotels all over the world, both in Japan and overseas, but this was the worst hotel I've stayed in - it was such a culture shock. - The entrance and elevator smelled of cigarettes. Why is this the case when smoking is prohibited indoors? - The bed frame and mattress were different sizes, and the mattress kept slipping off. - The washroom and bathroom were too small, and there were big steps, so it wasn't barrier-free. - The room was cramped, and the desks were small, so when I opened my laptop it took up all of my space. - The chairs had no backrests. - The air conditioning wasn't air conditioning; it was hot when the heating was on and cold when it was off. The heating and cooling were switched on for the entire hotel, so it was impossible to set the room to the right temperature. - The breakfast included was simply two rice balls and a bottle of tea. I've stayed in many hotels before, but this was the first time I'd ever seen two rice balls for breakfast. - The staff had a bad attitude. When I went to get breakfast, they were sullen and I couldn't speak properly. They didn't even look at me when I handed them my lunch box. - The elevator is narrow, so you can't bring large luggage into the room. - There is no internal phone in the room, so if the toilet breaks down, you have to change your clothes and go to the front desk to get help. - If they assumed the battery was dead, they should have brought batteries with them from the beginning. - You have to put your used towels outside yourself, and you have to report to the front desk to collect them. Is this really a hotel? - The exterior looks more like a used apartment building than a hotel, and is old. - When you open the window, you can just about touch the building next door, so there's no view, or rather, you shouldn't expect one. - The water doesn't have temperature control, so you have to adjust the water temperature yourself. The bathtub is small, and if you're a little overweight, you can't get in. - I've stayed in hotels all over the world, but this was the first time I'd experienced such a poor quality hotel, and I definitely won't stay there again.
