Hotel Livemax Umeda WEST

◎ A high-quality, cost-effective business hotel with a lower price than the major business hotel chains in the area. (November 2025, smoking semi-double room) ◯ Clean, small room. Sufficient space for one person. (Smaller for two people.) Both the room and bathroom were well-cleaned. The hotel is quiet. You can hear the doors of neighboring rooms opening and closing, but it's not too noticeable. Perhaps because it's a smoking floor, the smell of cigarettes is noticeable in the hallways and room (it's especially noticeable for non-smokers). ◯ Good location. Just within walking distance of the Umeda area of Osaka (about 15 minutes). It might be a bit difficult if you have luggage. Convenience stores and restaurants nearby. △ On the edge of the entertainment district. To the north, there are streetwalks and laneways in the same area. There's a street called "Buho Street," but the area north of the hotel is deserted and feels especially deserted at night, creating an eerie feeling. If this bothers you, I recommend accessing the hotel from Nishi-Umeda Station. Comfortable bedding. The mattress and pillows were of high quality and firm. Cushions were also provided. Free Wi-Fi, basic amenities, microwave, and mini-fridge. Kettle and cups were provided, but no coffee or other beverages. No complimentary drinking water. No ice maker in the building. TVs do not support smartphones. Umbrellas provided (may depend on timing). Self-check-in available. A Japanese receptionist was present at check-in, which was reassuring in case of any issues. They were also polite. Starting at 9:00 AM? When multiple people started cleaning on the same floor and in nearby rooms, I could hear a lot of cleaning noises and conversations. (I was already up, so it wasn't a problem, but I was considering requesting a late check-out and getting up later, so I'm relieved I didn't.)

Right in the heart of Umeda. Nice room but small if your ok with that. Everything you need and the staff is very helpful.

The hotel seemed new, and both the building and the rooms were clean and had all the basic necessities. However, it may be a little intimidating for women as you have to pass through many busy areas to get there.
