We stayed in Würzburg for five days – even though the hotel was advertised as a conference hotel – to explore the city. The hotel is located above Würzburg, near the university, and is generally excellent. The city center is about a 30-minute walk or a 10-minute ride away by public transport. The sauna area and swimming pool are fantastic. They even offer a daily additive for the sauna infusion in the 90-degree sauna – something you don't find in every hotel! The breakfast was also very varied, providing a great start to the day. However, we did have some negative experiences with the service. Regarding the pricing – shortly before our trip – the room was €30 cheaper than when we booked it in October. When asked why the room rate wasn't adjusted for our stay – other hotels offer this service – I was told that the reception had no control over the procedures. What was particularly unpleasant, though, was that the room wasn't cleaned twice during our stay. Despite these negative points, we felt comfortable at the hotel overall.
