A very mixed, and above all frustrating, review of this hotel, which had started off so well. Arriving at 3:00 AM, the reception was exemplary: smiles, clear explanations, the gate opened immediately, and quick and efficient check-in. A real relief after a flight delay, and undoubtedly the best moment of the stay. First night in room 704: a very beautiful room at first glance, but the cleanliness clearly left much to be desired as soon as you looked in the corners. The undeniable highlight was the terrace with its jacuzzi, huge and absolutely superb. The next morning, an unpleasant awakening: dripping water from the ceiling, which had obviously been leaking for some time given its condition. As a result, some of our belongings were soaked. The reception was notified and changed our room that same day—a responsiveness appreciated, but the situation could have been avoided. The second room was just as spacious and pleasant, but a visible stain on the duvet once again spoiled the experience. The reception was contacted… but no action was taken, neither that day nor the next. At this level of service, it's simply incomprehensible. Breakfast was a real disappointment: average quality and a rather lukewarm welcome, with a distinct feeling of being a nuisance. A telling example: a slice of cake left behind because it had been crushed was put back in place after a sigh. Hard to accept. Add to that the fact that the restaurant was closed on Sundays, even though the hotel app indicated otherwise: yet another unnecessary frustration. The location remains the hotel's strongest point: a very quiet neighborhood, a 5-minute walk to the metro, and direct access to the Colosseum and the train station. In short, a disappointing stay because expectations were high. A lot of potential, but too many details were overlooked for a hotel of this caliber. We will return to Rome in April; it remains to be seen whether this establishment deserves a second chance or if it would be better to try another hotel in the group.
