Positive: The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location, which is convenient and central. Room: The room design and furniture were satisfactory at best, but nothing special or memorable. Overall, the room did not meet expectations for comfort or attention to detail. Service & Experience (Negative): Unfortunately, the overall experience was very poor and disappointing. At check-in, no information was provided whatsoever. There was no explanation of the hotel amenities, services, or any guidance for guests. We were not informed about complimentary offerings, including free coffee and water, which were apparently available around the corner from the reception desk but not visible or clearly marked. As first-time guests, we had no way of knowing this and ended up purchasing coffee and water outside the hotel every day—something that could have been easily avoided with basic communication at check-in. We were also told nothing about a complimentary seasonal welcome hot wine, which we later learned existed but was never offered or mentioned. A simple welcome gesture would have made a difference, especially during the holiday season. Housekeeping was another major issue. The room was not properly cleaned, even after requesting cleaning twice. We wasted an entire day waiting for housekeeping to arrive. To make matters worse, large piles of dirty sheets and towels were left outside our room door for the entire day, creating an unpleasant and unhygienic hallway environment. This was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for any hotel, regardless of category. The check-in staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming, which set the tone for the stay. There was no sense of hospitality, warmth, or guest care throughout our visit. Overall: This was a terrible experience overall. Aside from the location, nothing justified staying at this hotel. With so many beautiful hotels offering professional service and genuine hospitality, there is simply no reason to choose a property with such poor service standards. I will never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We came here to spend Christmas and enjoy the festivities and atmosphere of the Christmas markets. €1500 for 5 nights, we accepted it, but what a disappointment! Christmas has a cost, but also a bitter taste... The room was small and more like an airport hotel or a low-end Ibis. The bed was so close to the edges that you're irresistibly drawn to it; even sitting on the edge makes you slip. I was traveling with an 80-year-old gentleman who, three times during our stay, fell to the floor trying to get up. Imagine trying to lift him in the middle of the night and get him back into bed so he could use the toilet. I agree that his health condition had nothing to do with the room, but nothing made our stay any easier. The toilet was against the wall and low, making it impossible for him to stand up. The shower had a dripping showerhead, the mixer tap was mounted crookedly on the wall, the radiator had seen better days, and the shower itself was best left unattended. The photos speak for themselves. After three showers, we were out of soap and tissues. I reported it to reception, but they didn't ask for my room number, so no one came or even bothered to check on us. The report went unanswered! Typical! I ended up going to the supermarket to buy shower supplies and tissues. When we went down for breakfast, the girls rushed to clean our room, but when we returned, it was all finished... A complete mess! Why insist on putting the bath mat in the shower? It automatically gets wet since the showerhead is constantly dripping, right? Long, dark hair that I highlighted but forgot to photograph. A small magnifying mirror next to the sink; if you move, you bump into it. The old minibar cabinet is open, like a cupboard, but with wires at the back. The hallways along the rooms always look dirty. There's a carpeted effect, but we regularly noticed the same pieces of paper on the floor, just like the day before. We regularly stay in Marseille, at the Sofitel Vieux Port or the Hôtel Beauvau, and we've never spent so much, and the room is undeniably high quality. We compare, but we have no choice but to confront this horror we've treated ourselves to, which we accepted beforehand. Less so now! The breakfast is well-stocked. But doesn't a manager ever come to check? Has no one thought of posing as a guest to test the products? Five mornings eating dreadful scrambled eggs. Isn't anyone responsible? The eggs are in a pan, but they're cold, mealy, and taste like they've been mixed with a thickener like cornstarch. It's really not good, and the spoon is never cleaned. This mixture sticks to everything. It's my guilty pleasure, but it was my nightmare for five mornings. The rest of the food is good, but the hot dishes—quiches, croque monsieur, pies—are always cold! Nothing seems homemade, but everything is assembled to make a nice buffet. The mini pastries are never cooked. On the other hand, the coffee is very good, and many other things are good, thankfully. Crepes, waffles, madeleines. We didn't lack for anything. A woman and a young man were very pleasant, and we didn't want to voice our dissatisfaction; it's not their fault. I imagine they just open a bag of scrambled eggs and that's it. In many hotels, you can smell coffee brewing; here, nothing, nada! As you can tell, we are not at all happy with our stay.

They were very helpful at check-in, friendly and very good staff, attentive. Rooms are clean and functional. Very close to the train station. Very close to places to visit. There are places to eat and drink nearby. The breakfast is very good. I recommend it.
