The facilities are old, but even that adds to the feeling of "Ah! I've come to Germany (Europe)!" The man at the front desk was very kind. He spoke English slowly (mixing in some Japanese) with an accent that even Japanese people could understand. There are many free drinks provided. Does that make up for the poor facilities? There's a welcome drink, and the minibar in the room has coke, water, and beer, and there's all-you-can-eat coffee and cake in front of the front desk until 6pm. The bathroom also has a bathtub, so you can take a bath instead of just a shower. If you're on a sightseeing trip, there's nothing to complain about. The only problem is the safety of the surrounding area. It's only one minute from the station, so you don't have to worry too much about it.

A nice quaint hotel located on the opposite side of the street from the main train station. Room was clean, comfortable and a very good size. Coffee and cake were served in the afternoon!
