Hotel Monte Hermana Sendai

I booked a hotel with a large public bath, hoping to relax at the end of the year, and was particularly interested in the facility. However, I was confused by the fact that the bath was by reservation and had a 30-minute limit. There were no detailed instructions about the bath usage at check-in, nor was there any information about the public bath on the hotel's website. I checked the room's congestion status on the TV and arrived 30 minutes before my scheduled time. There was a person who seemed to be working at the reception desk, who told me that reservations were required, and that's when I realized I'd be waiting for a long time. The bath also had a 30-minute time limit. I returned to my room and waited quite a while, even over the next day. There were several people standing around waiting in the shower area, and people were fighting over the hair dryer at the bathroom sink. It felt hectic from start to finish. I probably could have been more relaxed at home... I think it would be easier for guests to make a reservation if the website or check-in details the requirement to make a reservation directly at the reception desk in front of the public bath and the time limit were clearly stated, making it easier for guests to make a choice. It felt a bit like a training camp. Also, the hotel only offers indoor clothing in sizes M and L. I have a normal build, but the pajamas were a little tight, so I would have appreciated a wider range of sizes, or at least a more relaxed fit. (My companion couldn't fit into the hotel's pajamas due to his build, so he had to wear his own clothes.)

The shopping street near the station is easily accessible by walking across the pedestrian bridge from the station exit. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of electrical outlets.

Service 5 stars Location 5 stars Due to severe allergies, the entire trip, including the return home, was affected, so a positive review is impossible… Two people traveling, five nights' stay. Pros: 1. Excellent location, very close to the bustling area, shopping, restaurants, and train station. 2. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 3. As you can see from the photos, two 29-inch suitcases were still spacious enough to walk around in. Cons: 1. The toilet smelled terrible on the first day, and we even saw the previous guest's feces, a very unpleasant experience. (The smell improved significantly after the front desk cleaned the toilet that day.) 2. Both of us had allergies on the first day, and it seemed to get worse each day over the five days. Skin allergies, eye discharge. Even when we moved to our next hotel, we noticed a significant difference in cleanliness. The cleanliness wasn't just a matter of the pros and cons; the spacious rooms somewhat compensated for the lack of cleanliness. If you're not prone to skin allergies, you can skip this and only consider the pros.
