Hotel Morandi

Unlike the first time we stayed, I have to give a negative review. The room was large with a balcony, but it was cold, despite the staff's intervention to resolve the issue by raising the temperature of the split air conditioning. The bathroom was cold, making it difficult to shower; the window frame was outdated and let the cold in.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Morandi in Sanremo while visiting the city as a contestant for the Sanremo Senior 2025 event in late October. I stayed for four nights and felt comfortable and well looked after from the moment I arrived. The hotel offered everything I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I especially enjoyed the morning breakfast, which featured a great variety of foods and beverages and was a perfect start to each day. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I truly appreciated the pleasant conversations with all the staff, who were friendly, attentive and made me feel at home throughout my stay. Being in such a beautiful city made the experience even more special, and Hotel Morandi was a wonderful place to return to after busy days connected to the event. My time in Sanremo was truly memorable, and the comfort and hospitality of the hotel played a big part in that. I would happily stay here again and sincerely hope to return in the future. One star because I can't give less – A disastrous night, completely unjustified price. Upon arrival, we discovered an old, dirty, and unrenovated hotel. The elevator looked like it was from another century, immediately giving an impression of neglect. Upon entering the room, the situation worsened: No ventilation, no airflow, the air was stifling. No standard European outlets, impossible to plug in our devices. Non-existent soundproofing: we could hear the neighbors walking, talking, showering… Street noise as if the window were open, with traffic and a cleaning truck at 2 a.m. As a result, we didn't sleep a wink. The bed was as hard as concrete, impossible to get a proper rest. I was literally nauseous. The service wasn't any better: Haughty staff, no empathy. No refund, no solution offered. Paid parking (€10 per day), not indicated anywhere, and you have to leave your keys so they can move your car as they please. No one to help us with our luggage. And to top it all off: the price charged has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the services. It's outrageously expensive for a place in this condition. In short: a shabby, noisy, uncomfortable, dishonest, and far too expensive hotel. Avoid at all costs.
