Good hotel Recommended value for money

The hotel is within walking distance of the main train station, which was very convenient for us. It's about a 15-minute walk to the city center. The neighborhood around the hotel is a matter of taste. I found it inspiring and lively. However, it certainly seems a bit shady to some. There are more well-kept and cleaner areas. Many different smells—both pleasant and unpleasant—occur. But as I said, that's not the reason for my 2-star rating. The hotel is simple, which is basically okay for a 3-star hotel. However, anyone expecting a standard like that of a typical hotel chain will be somewhat disappointed. In our room, the bathroom door was so warped that you couldn't even close it. The ventilation in the bathroom didn't work. The worst thing was the horrible stench in the bathroom, which also spread to the rest of the room. I suspect a dead animal somewhere in the shafts. Unfortunately, airing the room didn't help much either, as it almost always smelled strongly of kitchen odors—deep fryers, etc.—outside. On the positive side, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was also okay. Very friendly and helpful staff at breakfast and at the reception. Check-out not until 11:30 a.m. is great, as is the option to store luggage after check-out.
