We went to learn about the hotel's history and take the mine tour ⛏️. The staff was excellent, but the hotel looked quite run-down. The pool tables and patios were covered in dust and cobwebs. The pool area had very dark hallways and dusty display cases used as storage—it was like something out of a horror story. The pool water was filthy, and there was a family drinking with their speaker blasting. The restaurant looked ugly, abandoned, and dusty. I definitely wouldn't stay there. The mine tour is totally worth it. It costs $180 per person, and you go down with a guide who tells you the history and makes the experience more enjoyable. In our case, we had Ramiro, and he was super nice. Just be aware that you'll be going up and down a lot of stairs, and it gets very hot. When you leave, they give you a complimentary drink at the bar.

The hotel has comfortable rooms and is generally clean. While there are always details that could be improved, the overall experience is very good. Without a doubt, the best part is the mine tour: it's short but truly beautiful, a unique and unmissable experience that is totally worthwhile.
