Hotel Nagashima

The plan included admission to Naga Spa, Yuaminoshima, Nabana no Sato, and more, so it felt like a good deal! The hot springs at Yuaminoshima tend to get crowded, but there are times in the evening when they're only available to guests, so it was great to go at those times when it was empty. The breakfast buffet was average but sufficient, and dinner had a huge variety of dishes, with a wide selection of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes to please everyone, so it was great! I was also happy that there was a wide selection, even for dessert. This is definitely a place for families going to Naga Spa! For adult couples, Hana Mizuki, located next door, seems like a good option too.

We stayed for one night on Friday, February 13th. We stayed with our one-year-old, and I was worried that my child might fall out of bed, so I called the front desk. At first, I thought they would just arrange for the beds to be pushed together, but I guess there was a room available. They changed us to a barrier-free room. Thanks to this, both my husband and I had a very comfortable stay. We are very grateful. We were very satisfied with the food, bath, room, and service. We will definitely stay again.

I've been to Nabana no Sato many times to see the illuminations. I always think the closing time for "Yuami no Shima" is early, at 10:30 PM...but that turns out to be the end of reception, and they're open until 11:00 PM. I wish they'd posted a notice saying so. They also seem to switch baths between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM, but It's impossible! I always think it would be better if they alternated between men and women every day. The room was somehow hot even with the heating off. I opened the window to cool it down, but I still woke up in the middle of the night because it was too hot. Also, the walls are very thin, so if your neighbors are noisy, you can hear them everywhere, which is a problem. You can hear people talking in the hallway, and their footsteps echo when they run. I like the fact that the baths in the rooms are hot springs, but I'm not sure if they're chlorinated. If they weren't, it would be amazing. Everything is delicious. The corn soup at night is excellent; it's enough to fill you up on that! So I was looking forward to the pumpkin soup in the morning, but it was just a dissolved powder, which was disappointing. The quality is quite disparate. There's always a variety of fruit available, and the tempura and steak are delicious! They also quickly clear away any empty dishes, which is nice. The breakfast closes at 9:00, which is a bit rushed for me, as I like to take my time. I wish I could eat until at least 9:30. Overall, it's not a great hotel, but it's acceptable. I'd be happier if they could set a more relaxed schedule for check-out and dining.
