As a native of Ishikawa Prefecture, I've seen JAL Kanazawa since I was a child as its symbolic skyscraper. Even from afar, I can tell, "Oh, that's Kanazawa Station," so it's a bit of a luxury to be able to stay in a building that's so etched in my memory. The best things about this stay were: • The Hokkoku Shimbun arrived in my room in the morning, making me feel like I'm back home. • The buffet was incredibly high-quality. • The clam chowder and ozoni (pink rice cakes) for New Year's lunch were surprisingly addictive. • Everything from the pork fillet, bread, and sweets from the live kitchen was delicious. • They had sweet shrimp for breakfast, which was a real treat for a shrimp lover like me. • Being able to access a buffet of this quality just by taking an elevator was heaven for someone with weak knees and hips. • The bathroom and toilet were in separate rooms, so I could bathe naked without worrying about others. • The view from the upper floors was luxurious, allowing me to gaze out at the city I grew up in. • The smart TV allowed me to enjoy YouTube and Netflix on TV, which was perfect for me, who prefers to relax in my room. The mirror in my room was far away, so I thought a hand mirror would have been nice when applying makeup. I really appreciated the refills on the bottled water. The staff were friendly and comfortable. My stay felt like a mix of "home in Kanazawa with a touch of luxury." Next time I go back home, I'll definitely come here.

Bathroom with a room. The bathroom had a separate tub, separate shower, and separate toilet enclosure taking about 2/3 of the room area leaving very little space for the bed that was built to have a side table on each side, but one was removed to make way for the oversized bathroom. By design, it had the bathroom of a suite and the bedroom on an APA hotel. Very little counter and storage space. The hotel common areas are luxurious and clean. Very classy. Great view from the rooms.
