Hotel Nikko Nara

The room was a bit dated. The bathroom was cramped. At 180cm tall, my head almost touched the ceiling when I stood in the shower. However, the hotel itself has a large public bath. The bed was nice and comfortable. The comforter was very comfortable. There's a bus stop downstairs. There's a supermarket and fast food restaurant nearby; the location is very convenient. The bus stop also goes directly to the vicinity of Todai-ji Temple.

Guests can drink as much sake and wine as they like in the lounge. They also have ginjo sake. Beer would be even better. The unit bath in the guest room was too small.

The hotel is located near JR Nara Station, making it inconvenient for those using Kintetsu Nara Station. The service wasn't particularly special, but there were many elderly guests, and I noticed them gulping down the free drinks as if they were missing out. And the guest room. The room I was shown was a disappointment. The interior and facilities were worn out, no different from those of an old business hotel. The room wasn't as spacious as I expected. It was small. And it smelled bad. The pillows were flat and smelled of scalp oil, and the sheets smelled of chestnut blossoms. The mattress was also worn out and uncomfortable. Even if I managed to sleep, my shoulders would ache when I woke up. When I turned on the heater, the room smelled stuffy and dusty, making my nose sting. I wanted to open the window for ventilation, but it wouldn't open. It was a sealed, oppressive nightmare. The unit bathroom smelled like a hospital waiting room, covered in disinfectant. The body shampoo had an unpleasant, strange odor. The female staff member at the front desk loudly announced my name and room number. I was surprised. By the time they told me, it was already too late. I didn't want the other guests to hear my name or room number, so I wish they hadn't said it out loud. I wish they had been more considerate. I thought they would have understood that much. It's disappointing. From about 9am, the cleaning staff start moving around noisily, making a lot of loud noise with banging, banging, and banging. Around 10am, the cleaning staff's aggressive noise reaches its peak, and I can't relax until check-out at 11am. That's all.
